Who We Are
We are healthcare professionals, parents, grandparents, teachers and students.
We believe in the use of technology. We also believe in science, and the many thousands of unbiased studies that point to serious health effects from electromagnetic fields (EMF), particularly wireless radiation.
We believe that people of all ages have the right to know why and how to technology safely.
Our passion is preventing suffering from the adverse effects of wireless radiation. Our work is guided by the Precautionary Principle: Whenever there is significant evidence of harm, yet not scientific consensus, we air on the side of caution, particularly for those who are most vulnerable. In other words, it is better to be safe than sorry.
While one of the world’s most important studies on cell phone radiation was designed here in NC, there are unfortunately too few NC residents who understand the many health effects of wireless technology. We are grateful to be able to share this important mission statewide.

What We Do
- Provide education for healthcare practitioners and leaders in schools, public health, and public policy.
- Consult with parents and school administrators to reduce wireless radiation in schools
- Share practical means to reduce exposure while still using technology
- Focus our efforts on simple solutions, while providing a sampling of the thousands of peer-reviewed studies at our Issues (link) page. Fortunately, there are other websites that now host the majority of the latest and best research.
What We Support
We are focused on preventing adverse health effects of wireless radiation on the most vulnerable populations, particularly children and pregnant women through the following solutions:
- Hard-wired connections at home, at work, and in schools
- Fiber optics – not 5G
- Safer setbacks of cell towers and 5G antennas
- Policies to limit the use of cell phones, Wi-Fi, and other wireless tech in schools
- Local control for our citizens and public servants
- Legislation requiring safe, responsible technology
- Conscious use of technology & avoidance of tech addiction
Get Involved
We rely on volunteers to make our mission possible. We have the following Action Teams that need volunteers:
- SafeTech Professionals Team: We train healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat and prevent EMF related illness
- SafeTech Schools Team: We provide support to parents and public officials to develop policies and practices that reduce wireless radiation levels in NC schools.
- SafeTech Teens Team: We bring appealing messages to teens on risk-reduction methods for using wireless tech
